What? Are you trolling? Your stupid watch got stuck at 12 miles for an hour and you just assumed it must be right? Did you really think you ran a one hour mile?
What level of stupidity have you reached? You need to throw that watch in a lake and learn to use your brain.
The above exchange is pure, LetsRun gold.

Both of you deserve to be punched in the throat.

Serious enough for a 49 year old in our running community to pound a table in frustration after getting out kicked by a female Kenyan.
Our does that only count for races that occurred last summer?
One more day, folks! The highlight of the hobby jogger year is 24 hours away.
Fuel belt loaded, ready to roll!

I’m traveling this morning. Is it safe for me to do a final tuneup of a 5 minute run this afternoon (planning on running it at goal Turkey Trot race pace, so I’ll cover about a 1/2 mile) or will this ruin my race tomorrow?

Way too much! Spend as much of today as possible sitting in an ice bath, watching Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Del Griffith will get you in the right frame of mind to dominate tomorrow.
The insecurities of you LOSERS is amazing. People are taking part in a recreational activity that is an American tradition, and you LOSERS can only mock them. Pathetic.
They're actually exercising while you will probably be sleeping off a hangover. Trust me, that makes YOU the loser, not the turkey trotters.
This site makes me sick sometimes.

Oh yeah? How about running off a hangover by doing hill reps for a hour before a 10000m race?

The only joke here is you, for not getting the joke.
I am running my hometown turkey trot in the morning, just like I have for years. And yes, I'll be "racing" it, although I'm both past my prime and a hobby jogger. I also run races on Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day, thus my screen name.
Yet, I can still laugh at myself for being a hobby jogger who will get my doors blown off by the NCAA runners who are home for the holiday.
In short, screw you and your over serious self.
Irony.

HELP!!! I accidentally ran 20 miles Sunday and I don't know if I am going to be able to win my neighborhood turkey trot! My legs are terribly sore and I am worried that all of my hard training from the past 4 months is going to go out the window. I would greatly appreciate any tips on how to recover so that I am ready to blaze on Thursday. The winning time is normally around 19 minutes and I don't know if I am going to be able to outkick some of the local 40-year-old dads.
woke up at 5:00 this morning because the nerves were getting to me. Will I win it?
