Gobble gobble!
Crushed mine baby!!! 19:55 fresh, shiny PR.
47yrs old. Stuff it, like a turkey! Gobble m-f'king' gobble!
My Turkey Trot was a five-miler, which is always won in under 25:00, and I won it one year in 24:40. Does that make me a hobby jogger? I mean I know it's not "elite" or "professional" and it's not as good as the arrogant dickwads on here who can apparently all break 13:30 for 5K even though, mysteriously, we've never heard of any of them. But I don't think it completely sucks. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Well, another year, another turkey trot, another DEVASTATION!!! Those hobby joggers never knew what hit them.
Thanks to all for participating in this year's turkey trot countdown, and I'll see you again next year, one week til the Turkey Trot!
I actually ran my fastest 10k of the year today. I'll take it? Gobble gobble, and I'll see you at the Jingle Bell Jog!
Hope you all gobbled a good time this year. I ran my hometown turkey trot and saw some old friends I hadn't seen since last year. A great day.
Happy Thanksgiving, and see you in this thread again next year.
Gobble gobble!!!
I puked after my Turkey Trot. Who else?

Benton AR: Got 50 miles at the (Friday-Saturday) Sunset Lake Endurance Challenge. Old, fat, but still in the game - barely.
How's everyone doing? Did some solid training this week and now I'm taking off until the 28th. My legs are going to be FRESH for the race!

Crabo loading is key. It's important to consume A LOT of crabs between now and the race. Especially the night before the big day.

Fake predictions
Unrealistic expectations
Lies about excellent training
Excuses for poor performance ready
Fanny pack with selfie stick, headphones
Social media post with inspirational quote
Got a 200M stretch of field marked out for a pre-trot beer mile the night before the big race. Thought about doing it the morning of the race, but it's just too damn early.
Well well well, if it isn't time to bump this ole gem. How is everyone's preparation going? Ready to don that Turkey Trot shirt that you just received at packet pickup and run on pure hate?

I think I'll wear the shirt during the race just to annoy the other semi-serious jobby hoggers that think it's the bad luck and/or the crime of the century to wear the shirt before you've "earned it".
purchased a fresh pair of next% for the 10k - other pair already has 35 miles on them.
This most likely will be my last outdoor run of the year. I signed up for the 10k. Not sure how well I will do as I had two hernia surgeries this year. One at the end of April (open incision) and another just 4 weeks ago (laparoscopic with mesh installed). At this point my goal is to not have to walk. :(
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
