You ready?
You ready?
yeah, even got my turkey outift!
I have a color run on Friday! I hope I can recover in time! Just as long as I have my iPod, I'll be all smiles and have a fun time!

Oh crap, I still haven't gotten around to replacing my old fuel belt!
Shorts over tights, locked and loaded. I just hope they have enough fuel stations for the 5k this year. Last year they only had 3.

Oh my God. All those clowns who couldn't break 14 in a 5K to save their lives lined up on the starting line all decked out in their racing gear. Aha ha ha. Hardy har har. Hee her her. OMG! A whoo hoo hoo!
I'm so pumped! Once I get my yearly workout in I won't feel guilty as I devour my endless servings of stuffing! Also, I bought some 7" long running shorts with the built-ins. People will actually take me seriously now!

Why all the disdain and hostility?
Granted some turkey trots can be really lame, but some are very good races.
Over the years I've run several in my area, and I have run in the same field as Olympic and world champion medalists and some of the best runners in the US and world. Often get a lot of college runners that have just finished their NCAA circuit, plus a good variety of local/regional runners.

What's everyone's deal today with drinking at 10 AM?
Heck yes I am ready. I will be toeing the line with the best of 'em for the killer turkey trot. I am all trained up and ready to rip it on the course. I am seriously ttaking off like a bat-outta-h***!!!! I am thinking of even pushing it to sub-8. So put that in your pipe and suck it boys, The Man is back!!!!

To those who replied: You realize that this is exactly what Meb thinks of all of you every time you "toe the line" in your 5 inch shorts with extra gel in your pockets and compression socks on your feet. Man, you guys are idiots if you don't think you give him, Wilson, Denis, Bernard, and the others a good laugh. You're all losers, too. Keep chasing your PRS from college and pretending to your wife that you're a semi-elite. Haha.

Exactly. I saw this thread and did't even click it at first thinking I would have been beaten to the punch. Finally I clicked it out of boredom and saw that it took half-a-dozen posts to finally get the correct answer. Thank heavens PC got here when he did...

Man, I think it is pretty clear that everyone on this thread is self aware. You are preaching to the choir in this thread.
My turkey will not be trotting anywhere next Thursday.

No. But it does make sitting around and drinking/watching football even more enjoyable. Hell, that is the main reason I run these days, hahahaha.
Not really, but kind of...
3 days to train, 3 to taper. I should be good. Gotta figure out if I have time to have a Nike singlet printed with my track club's logo. Parking at the race not great so I may ride there. Worried I won't have anywhere safe to lockup my $15,000 tri bike. I like to take it out a couple times a month. Good thing I'll have the long weekend to recover and rebuild my glycogen stores. After that it's active rest all winter so I don't over train.
Just saw DJ Mike filling his gas tank @ the neighborhood Shell station. Says he's aiming to go under 20 minutes next Thursday as long as the cops don't pull him over for exceeding the speed limit.
