this has been my week 1 on my journey back to competitive running (as competitive as a 2h30 Marathon can be). I set the goal of trying to break the 2h30 before august 2016 (still not sure where). I wont stop until i get it.
27 years old, PRs: 15:56 5k, 33:16 10k, 1:13:52 Half, 2:37:12 Marathon.
all of them between 2012 and 2014. Never ran more than 70 miles/week.
had a terrible 2015, with little training, mostly because of long hours working. Two months ago I finished a Marathon in 2h50 with little training (and an horrendous positive split of 1h21-1h29). I believe i can still probably break 17 in the 5k today.
i know i am so far from a 2h30 right now. Ran 56 miles this week. Will probably keep this average around 55-60 miles for a while, until move over to 70-75 and finally try to reach 80-85 by april or so. It would be nice to read workouts and stories of those who have reached this level of sub2h30 or are aiming to do it
