Due to the climate where I live, running in the winter consists of running in a lot of melting snow. It snows one day, then the rest of the week is like 30-40 degrees so the ground is always covered in slushy cold water a good portion of winter. Its generally not that bad, but it sucks when you take a step in a cold puddle at mile 1 of a long run.
I've seen waterproof running shoes online before, but never considered buying them. Out of those I run with, I don't know anyone who has bought them before, but mainly cause my friends are cheap asses and won't consider spending $10 on a running shoe.
Has anyone bought them before? I know that they won't be able to keep my feet completely dry, especially in a deep puddle, but does the waterproofing make a considerable difference?
