The only thing that I want a journalist to tackle head on in the aftermath of this report is the question of how Coe was unaware of the goings on at the IAAF.
Personally I do not doubt Coe's morals, ethics, etc etc. If he says he knew nothing, personally I believe him.
But I want to know how he was kept in the dark. Were these arrangements entirely funnelled through Diack and his family. Was no-one in an administrative or junior role at the IAAF involved at all? Did Coe become negligently blind to his colleague, or are there events and transactions which, with hindsight, should have caused him to question Diack's behaviour?
Given that every rumour in the world (no matter how unfounded!) seems to make it onto this site, why did no-one ever post "Diack is a crook, he's taking backhanders from the Russians, I know, a friend of a friend of a friend overhead them talking about in a restaurant once"?
