I think it's amazing politico is making such a big deal out of a non-story.This is what Carson's autobiography said about his days as a top ROTC guy in HS: "Afterward, Sgt. Hunt introduced me to General Westmoreland, and I had dinner with him and the Congressional Medal winners. Later I was offered a full scholarship to West Point."Now Politico is acting like Carson is a liar because he never applied or was accepted to West Point.Since this is a running website, let's use a running analogy. Lots of runners are implicitly offered scholarships who never apply. If Stanford coach Chris Miltenberg calls up the #1 recruit in the country and says, "Hey you should apply here. We'll hook you up." That runner could easily say write in his autobiography. "Hey, I turned down a scholarship from Stanford." Technically, neither the runner or Carson were offered a scholarship but common sense shows that they would have been offered one.The best rebuttal I've read on this is here:http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2015/11/06/despicable_politico_lie_spreads_around_the_world_as_american_media_attempts_a_political_assassination_of_dr_carson
Left, if you want to take out Carson, do it for something legit - his evolution views or something. Not this. It's embarrassing. Next.
