I know courses vary and things like that but which state on average produces the slowest times?

WV is usually pretty slow. I imagine that most years the Dakotas and Wyoming aren't that great. Its def between these 4.
Delaware....
Boys champs in Sd went: 1550, 1556, 1640.
Girls went: 1844,1838, and 1907
We have one too many classes imo.
LOUISIANA
Colorado
Top girl 18:50
Top division boys. Only 5 under 17
Pretty slow?..
Fwiw. The 18:50 was on the world xc junior team
Keep in mind that Colorado is hilly and courses are hard. LA is flat and so their times may as well be on a track.
plus colorado's runners r wayyy faster, go on la.milesplit.com and co.milesplit.com and check out the rankings
That wasn't question though. Asked which produces slowest champions. CO wins. The course is hard pits at altitude and CO us one if better xc states. But course is slow and produces slow times for champions. Course has changed and will be much faster this weekend

No. This is letsrun and they don't account for altitude. A 10K is a 10K, and a 5K is a 5K no matter where it is or what the conditions. I've heard it here before, therefore it must be true no matter what. Trolls rule.
My guess would be Wyoming. It has the smallest population and races are all at altitude.
Forget the States, young runners should move to a US territory --Puerto Rico, Guam, Gitmo, and such-- so they can be the faster dude in XC and T&F for once in their slowly lives.
We have 14:30 and 14:34 guys running right now. Girls are in the 17:20 range...
Delaware boasts Lydia Olivere, a sophomore who recently ran 17:30 and second girl in the state Rachel Beston ran just under 18 as well.
Top guys have frequented low 15's to 15:30's.
Do some research.
California is the worst state.
Vermont
Vermont used to produce some pretty slow winning times back in the mid-2000's
Didn't help that most of the course looked like this
or that the course was 400m longer than 5k

I would bet It's the Upper Peninsula Of Michigan. They have their own "State Finals" and only compete in classes from schools in the UP. Down state has their own separate state finals.
I was a 16:50 guy in HS, I ran 18:50 on that hilly ass course
