Is it be possible to train for multiple distances at a time? If an average training week consists of intervals, tempos, and long runs, wouldn't it make sense to be able to run good times from the mile up to the half marathon? I see runners like Mo be able to run 3:28 then run 59:xx in the same year.
My last training cycle I only averaged 35mpw and ran PRs in the 800, Mile, 3k, and 5k. If I were to increase mileage to 50-60 a week and maintained the 3 key workouts, would I be able to race as fast in the shorter stuff and drop a chunk of time in the half for my goal race?
