I was wondering if there is any relation to ones shoe size and their 5km time. This would pertain only to those that have a fully developed adult size foot. I have always been mocked by my team for having the smallest foot size but I am wondering if mine is truly small for this sport.

What a fantastic theory you have put forth!
I've wondered this before and through examining many local elites, local pros, and college athletes foot size I've come up with nothing. Some of the fastest guys I know are size 13. Some more of the fastest guys I know are size 8.
I think the better question would be about legs. What percentage of your total height are your hips down?

not the study I was looking for and I do not have the time to devote to a search but this may lead you to determine that there may be a connection. It is my understanding that persons with smaller feet tend to be quicker over mid- D and distance races. I do not know the genetic or ancestral background of the subjects in the study I vaguely recall
