Post your splits form you last 800m, if you don't have some of your splits I think a 63 is as safe choice if you are more of a sprinter and a 64-65 are good choices if you're a distance guy
freshman year my splits were 59, 70
As a freshman I ran 2:12 splitting 64/68, and my goal is also 2:09. I was thinking along the lines of 62/66 with the decimals adding up to 2:09. Any reason in particular a 4-second positive split is a disadvantage? I did that on almost all my races last year, but I still almost always passed people on the second lap.
63.2
Yeah if you ran a 62 first lap you might be able to run a 2:06
Got a little happy in the first lap there, didn't you?How about a 34 first 200, then bust out a 59 or 60 sec next 400, then run the last 200 on pure hate?

RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
