I am running a high school race at Van Cortlandt Park in New York City and was wondering what times I should expect to be around if I run a 17:50 at a medium speed (average) course. I will be running the 4000m at VCP.
Thanks

Odds are Meylan has done a speed rating on courses you have run. Follow that rating to a rating on VCP and see what it spits out. Meylan (tullyrunners.com) is about the best there is at conversions, especially in New York.
I don't know what average course means but I take a fast course (like track fast) and divide by 1.17 so if you could run 17:30 on the track I'd say 15:00 at VCP.
