Dickson Chumba hammering!! He's the guy that faded in that last 1/2 mi in the heat at Boston in 2012, when Wesley Korir passed him. Good for him!
Nevermind this, that's incorrect. That was Matebo who faded in 2012. Chumba ran Boston in 2013 for 7th in 2:14:08
Chumba has this in the bag. 2nd and 3rd still up for grabs.
PUSKEDRA IN 5TH NOW, MOVING UP!
I just did some math. Looks like Kastor picked it up from halfway to 30k as she's on 2:27:45 ish pace there and she was 74:03 at halfway.
Hypothetical: As a man, would you latch onto the lead women's pack in a marathon major if they were running your pace, or would you keep your distance?
Six WOMAN!!!
nice split screen - kudos
finally

Beast mode!!!
Puskedra about 55 seconds off of Chumba.
Kuma's died spectacularly now languishing in 8th. Looks like Kitwara's hanging on for 2nd.
Major move in women's race now down to two.

He's on 2:10:30 pace... 2:09 might be a bit much, still great
2:09:26 unofficially for Chumba. Slowest winning time since the blazing hot 2007 race (upper 80s temps), where it was 2:11:11.
2:10:25 for Puskedra. What a run!
2:10:24 5th place
shedding a tear for puskedra.... great run and what a comeback!!
