55 degrees now, 57 at the start, going to be full sun so warming up quickly. In the 60's when the elites finish, 70 when the rest come in. Supposed to be a 10 - 12 mph from the SW but showing only at 2 mph now from the north.

In case no one else gets a thread going…..Looks like we're getting Hutchings & Eyestone (no Toni Reavis) which isn't bad. Race goes off at 8:30 E.T. I'll check weather now…..

Joanie is out- still sick
You beat us to the punch. I've turned this into the official thread.
In case you haven't read our previews, you can do so during the first few miles.

It's time to make a prediction.
For the men it's simple. The residents of room 323 at the Chicago Hilton will win. I get a 2 for 1 with that pick as Sammy Kitwara - the on paper favorite - and Lucas Rotich - my long shot pick are sharing a room (they aren't long time friends or training partners - the race put them together). I'm really curious to see if Rotich can pull it off. Was he BSing me or is he really that ready? I'd say he wasn't BSing me.
. I wish I'd asked more questions of Kiplagat on the women's side but there were just so many people in the media area. I forgot to ask her about her less than stellar half marathon prep race. Dibaba won in Tokyo but is she stuck in that 2:22-3 range or can she compete with the sub-2:20 women?
She's only 22 so a win over Kiplagat here would be huge for her career. It might make her $500,000. I guess given Kiplagat's subpar prep race and the money on the line for Dibaba i'll be foolish and pick her in an upset.
I'm in an upset mood. Anyone find betting odds?
Why is this woman running just 3 miles and taking selfies and stuff? This is the worst?
rojo,
your stream doesn't work. this one does:
I will make a bold prediction and say that Luke Puskreda will run a 2:08:22 for second. Go USA!

The live stream is on the front page. It works just fine for me. It's the QOD. Also the other link works fine.
Cababa is in 3rd and is looking strong!

We get Ritz out there on lead truck commentating!
I didn't realize Ritz was doing tv. I was wondering he was in the media room..
So the other tv guy just called Cabada an "American contender". No. There are no American contenders in the race.
It's funny that Tim Hutchings is correcting the female tv reporter who said Cabada wants and OT qualifier as the presser on Friday Hutchings asked several of the Americans about qualifying for the Trials when they already had Trials qualifiers.
I wish there was a clock on the screen
