After workouts, after races. Warmup before, don't cool down.
Ice baths no longer do any good. They are so 2005.

There was an experation date on ice baths? I find they do a world of good. Certainly not on the day of a race.

Expiration and yes. The work they do is not beneficial.
Ice baths, if you believe in them, are intended for recovery immediately after a hard effort.
You don't need ice.
The recommended temperature for ice baths is 55-60 degrees.
Cold tap water is 49-52 degrees.
