I'm not a pro runner but I do love to run and I don't know what to do with this injury so wanted to get an opinion. I've been living with this pain so far for 5 to 6 weeks now. It happened when I was running and I felt this stab when I made my first step on the pavement. I could barely make it through my run. It is so bad that it affects my walk and I limp. It is a deep ache pressure type feeling right where the navicular bone is. I went to the doctor after a week and he gave it two weeks in boot hoping it would get better and didn't so he ordered an MRI thinking it would be Navicular Stress fracture. The MRI came back as negative so doctor just told me it was fine and to go back to running. It however got worse and worse waking me up in the night with pain and trying to stand on my toes is very painful. I went for a second opinion and doctor was very rude and basically said well if MRI was clean I don't know what your problem is. He sent me for physical therapy. I have a bad feeling about my foot and it keeps getting worse but I also don't want to baby it. He mentioned tendonitis but it doesn't quite feel like it. Could it be tendonitis? or is it possible it just isn't showing up on MRI. I don't want to screw with navicular injury. I am currently just walking without the boot. the navicular spot is also very tender still. Sorry it is long!
