I was hoping to be running for time this weekend at Chicago...big goal is to hit the olympic trials B standard. Current weather forecast is not for terrible conditions, but so far things aren't looking ideal either. Temps a bit on the warmer side and wind out of the SW with some forecasts predicting 15-25 MPH.
I'm hoping to get feedback from people who have experience running in wind and also people who have experience with the Chicago course on how much a wind like this might impact performance. I realize since it's not point-to-point there will at least be wind at your back part of the way. I also realize that 4 days out wind forecasting can be a cr*pshoot.
I'm female and pretty small, so drafting is an option (although not sure how much it really helps?). Obviously I can only really peak maybe once more after this before the qualifying window closes, so just trying to make the most of the racing opportunities I have left. Thanks.
