The sit and kick is a beautiful concept. Used by the greats of the sport, this is a fulproof strategy to winning every race you run in.
Forget everything you know about running. Just forget everything you know period. Sitting and Kicking and Breathing should be all that you know how to do. Forget about your training, and take the time to visualize your sit and kick. Don't let your dreams be dreams. Think about them long enough and they will become reality.
Now for the actual race- its simple really, all you are going to want to do is find the fastest runner in the race, and sit behind him for approximately the first 2.9 miles of the race. Then, this is where the kick comes in. Take all of the energy that you conserved through sitting behind the top runner while negating the effects of the wind on your performance, and use this energy to increase your speed. Its basic biomechanics really. Again, this strategy should ensure a #1 performance, or, in other words, a major win for your career.
