How much slower would you run a 7pm 10K if you ran a 15 mile training 7AM run at marathon pace +40 seconds in the morning?
That is what I did Saturday night, and I'm trying to gauge my fitness. I was only about 15 seconds off my 10K time from July, but I was out of shape then. Also, it was a charity event so I wasn't going to really race it, but I pushed pretty hard once I realized I was still in the front pack even if it was a very slow race.
I think I could have cut my time by 8-10% on an open 10K? Is that crazy to think?
