So i recently did Ragnar and last year when i did it i was a little sore but today my calves and thighs are severely sore.. i got a massage there after my 3 loops and my legs are hurting and the soreness feels like pain.. :/ what should i do?

I would try some light walking or very light cycling for a few days. It seems like moving a little is better than not moving at all in these cases. Take a nice walk in the woods somewhere with the wife/gf/dog/kids/etc. and enjoy the fall weather!
I think i wasn't clear enough but i also do XC and days off during our season would be vital. What about an ice bath..? I've never done it before but i heard it's a good choice.
