Any good results from the St. Cheat Marathon in Utah today?
I follow the blogs of a few Utah runners and they all think their outlying times from down hill marathons and halfs are legit. Why does Utah have so many downhill races?
Ask them who they think the world record holder is for the mile. If they don't answer Mike Boit or Craig Wheeler, they're hypocrites. Ask them whether a college football player could lay down a strip of field turf on the downhill ramp of a parking garage, then claim that as his 40 time.
I would but all appear to be mentally fragile women so there is no point in debating them. If I called them out they would say" How dare you say that my 10 minute half marathon PR is not legit! I was running for my autistic brother that died in a car crash after battling cancer". And then their next blog post would be all about how someone commented on their blog and it ruined their week and brought back their ED.
I bet that a high percentage of all those running downhill Utah races are mentally fragile bloggers. I love it when they try to explain that the course is deceivingly harder than a flat course.
All too true. You hear a lot of clap trap about the altitude canceling out the downhill, or that there is an uphill at mile 8, or whatever. Yet they hover over their keyboards counting down the second until they can sign up for that particular race so that they, too, can claim an artificial PR or an unearned BQ.
Yep to all the above. Take them to a real
course like NYC or hell Chicago. Let's see some huge PRs then LOL.
