People like Meb set these records that become impossible to break if you don't have a great cocktail of PEDs. It is obvious that this African has been doping for a very long time.
Efortless, he's is going to be in sub 2:10 shape for the trials.
2nd, two seconds behind Jordan Chipangama's 63:00.
Meb doping?? Are you kidding? You have no proof for this libelous accusation. He has run as fast at 1:01:00 on the San Jose course. He has slowed with age but is still running well. He likely could have run faster than his 2:08 PR at a younger age, but he is more of a racer versus a time trialist. A normal progression. A 1:03:02 is a good time 5 weeks out from the NYC Marathon (a great time for a 40 year old), but he did run 1:01 or 1:01:30 at San Jose the year he won NYC in 2009. He has used the race multiple times during his build ups for NYC. A good result at NYC would be anything in the 2:10-12 range. Then he has 14 weeks until the US Olympic Marathon trials. But doping, stop saying stupid things without some proof.
another libelous, proofless, post by the poster previously named Eric Lindsey...oops!...A Duck
