1. I have nearly always re-laced my shoes to make them fit looser in the toe and more secure around the ankle.
2. Recently, I have started removing the insole. I started this summer, when a pair of shoes were giving me a blister. I took out the insole (I was on vacay and these were the only shoes I brought, lol), and I liked the way they fit much better. Then, on my next pair, the sweat/humidity would make my shoes just feel "sloshy". Removed the insole, and boom, one less thing to absorb sweat.
What "weird" things do you do to your shoes (or any other piece of running apparel)? (just remembered that I always put my race number on my shorts, in case I decide to go shirtless at the last minute, lol)
