Somehow help me out here as I'm not that familiar with the high school scene.
You have to pay $48 a year to look at results?
Isn't athletic.net free? Why doesn't everyone use that one?
Do the state sites not have results for all the meets?
Feel free to email me at

The thing is, they basically scam you into thinking they have put in a lot of real research and editorial work. This is because they say they have "rankings" of all different sorts for different sections, states, the country, etc.
That suckers people into thinking, "Wow, I'd sure like to see all this analysis and rankings." And then you pay the $48 and find out something that is really annoying: Their "rankings" are just lists of results from races of the same distance. It doesn't depend how hard the race is either; 3 miles "ranks" the same no matter the actual course.
Sometimes they'll do "composite rankings", which are absolutely horrendous. They use some model that is such absolute trash that they just recently had the #1 ranked girls' team in the nation ranked 2nd in the state or section behind some other girls' team, this despite the fact the #1 ranked team in the nation had 9 girls faster in the 3200 the previous track season compared to this other teams #1 runner.
It goes on like this too, where they'll put out multiple sets of "rankings" in the same day or week and have a team vary from being in the top-5 to outside the top-25.
I know they are trying hard and doing a lot of work, but their rankings analysis is being done by someone who either doesn't understand numbers, doesn't understand running, or both.
