Today I started warming up for a run and felt great. I typically do about 2 miles at 7:30 pace before dynamic stretches and drills.
About 400m into my run, my left achilles or lower calf started to hurt a little. It was almost like a cramp, but felt more like it was in the tendon and not muscle. Almost like little needles sticking into the upper part of the tendon.
I kept jogging for a few more steps, it was not unbearable but I could tell something was wrong so I stopped. I gave it a little while and it never loosened up so I called it for the day. Now it almost has a slight burn and It hurts to walk whenever I try to toe off or do any weight support on my left toe.
It is so sudden I don't think it can be tendonitis, but on the other hand it is not a massive pain to make me think i tore it, at least severely. I was not running nearly hard enough to feel like i could injure myself...
Any thoughts on what is wrong or what to do?
