That's good news. We still need more.
Tell that to Rush.

Funny you should say that. 9 1/2 years ago Al Gore said we only had 10 years left before the Earth would cook due to Global Warming, so Rush started a timer on his web site that's been counting down since then:
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2006/01/27/algore_we_have_ten_years_left_before_earth_cooksThere are 145 days left on the timer, and the earth's temperature has risen since then. When those 145 days have gone by it will be fun to review all the apocalyptic predictions made by Global Warmists and how wrong they've all been.

Wow. The Sydney Morning Herald's website is smh.com.au
smh.
And I suppose you think the inaccurate predictions invalidates AGW?

I think the data showing no warming over the last 18 years invalidates AGW.
Ahhhhh....one of "those people"
If it wont affect me in my lifetime, it doesnt matter and doesnt exist because only I matter.
Dont you people care about your grandchildren? Every educated scientist firmly believes that the world is uncontrollably heating, (everywhere except Bullsh*t Mountain apparently)

but but, LOUD YELLING ABOUT DEATH DOOM AND DESTRUCTION UNLESS TRILLIONS IN NEW TAXES ARE IMMEDIATELY IMPOSED!!!!
I'm convinced that going up into a plane and dropping cash into the eye of a hurricane will reduce the severity of the storm.

Cash is green right? I don't see why it wouldn't work. Give me some funding and I'll study it for a few years and let you know the results. To keep it scientific I'll have some of my friends "review" my work and publish it in Nature, or something equally easy.

Al Gore might say that the reason we haven't turned into a great big frying pan is because of changes people made to reduce global warming. Of course people who have had droughts over the past tens years might say that Gore was right. But then again people who have experienced floods during the past ten years could say that Gore is wrong.
The only thing that is consistent is that the weather changes every season because the earth topples as it reportedly rotates around a large nuclear explosion in the sky.

You might want to wake up some day, little dude.

It's all about advances in fire science...as least as it relates to the ever growing population of trees in this country. Back say in the 1840's, you get a wild fire out in California, and it would burn all the way to the first major river or desert area that was able to halt its advance. More timber in the country today than there probably ever was.

Wrong Rush
So we have had a net gain of 2.6 trillion trees. That is great news and not necessarily what I would have expected.
