Every time there is some new injury prevention fad I see several coaches buy into it.
When you hear about one of these fads please do some extensive research to see if there is any actual benefit to them.
For example if the latest fad is that foam rolling helps prevent injury, then there are over 5 different internet searches you should do to find out if that is true. I would at least try these 5 searches:
foam rolling injury prevention
benefits of foam rolling
foam rolling doesn't help
don't use foam rollers
foam rollers study runners
New running fads pop up all the time (stretching, core exercises, massage, etc..) do your own research to find out what is beneficial. Don't just take the first answer you find as the ultimate truth. We don't have to be sheep all of the time.
