Are Hoka One Ones good for Achilles Tendonitis?
Are Hoka One Ones good for Achilles Tendonitis?
How is smoking a Hoka supposed to help achilles tendonitis?
I would recommend any Mizuno trainer. Hokas could cause further injury to your already injured Achilles.

I have had very good luck with Hoka's.
They have effectively eliminated my achilles problems.
I wear Cliftons, use orthotics, have a neutral stride, and run mainly on soft surfaces, and the Hoka's have allowed me to run pain free.
They look goofy, but they work for me.

This guys wears orthotics and runs on soft surfaces. It's definitely the shoes making his tendinitis better!
Look, Fout, you can't just say "I recommend ANY Mizuno Trainer." That's just poor advice. Different shoes are designed in different ways, even within the same brand. I'm sure Mizuno has some shoes that are stability, some neutral, etc. Not every type of shoe is good for achilles tendonitis, so in the future when you're recommending Mizuno shoes, you need to be educated enough to know which ones can benefit achilles tendonitis.
Also, if you're you going to say "Hokas could cuase further injury," you need to back up that statement with some evidence, or at the very least a personal experience. Otherwise it just appears baseless and comes out as "my shoe is better than yours."

He's using basic knowledge. I have chronic Achilles Tendinitis and I can only train with soles that are on the thin side. The big soles like Hokas will destroy my Achilles. Of course he will push his brand. Nothing wrong with it. I run in Asics DS Racer and had no problems since.

how do you know they would "destroy" your achilles?
I get that he's using "basic knowledge." But if he's pushing his company's products, he really should have MORE than basic knowledge in order to help someone with injury problems. It's his brand, he should do more than to say "all of our shoes will cure your problems," he should really go more into detail.
Nothing wrong with pushing your brand. If you're gonna push it, do it right.
Cliftons have been great for my tendinopathy. A surprisingly light shoe with lots of Cush and responsiveness.
I had insertional achilles tendonitis and Hokas (Clifton) were no good ... I thought the lack of a hard heel counter would be helpful, but the drop was just too much for me.
Nike Pegasus is the best training shoe for me. Technically I overpronate, but the heel counters in neutral trainers tend to be less bothersome for me.
I think the Mizuno guy is a joke, yall. No true shill would come out so obvious like that.
Don't know why all of you think a pair of shoes is going to magically fix your overuse injuries. I think the Clifton is the best shoe ever made but that doesn't mean I can just go hammer every run.
Plus, Fout was a fast ass runner in the day. Good to see a IN guy still in the business.
FWIW,
I have always worn orthotics and run on soft surfaces.
I still had achilles problems and the Hoka's were a change that helped.
