Hi everyone.
I live in a tiny town in a tiny region of norhern Spain. The day of the race (November) I will be 37 years old and it will be my 43rd marathon (but few of them run at my limit). My PB is 2:32, already 7 years old.
After years of running marathons with no real ambition, I feel again the need to push my limits. Last year I did a lot of all-time personal bests in the half (1:13), 5k (16:39) and 3k (9'38), and in April I came back to marathon with a 2:37 in a windy morning in Rotterdam. As you can see, I am an endurance type guy (or I'm awfully slow in short races), perhaps I didn't train smart for the short events, I don't know. But I tried my best.
I run 120 k per week (around 75 miles), with long tempos and long intervals, and I am leaving the really long runs for October, after a HM in wich I want to run sub 1:13.
I am aiming for 2:31, but in my wildest dreams I see myself breaking the 2:30.
What do you think about it, do I have a chance?
