28 Year Old Male-Went From No Cares To Feeling I need to find my 'rest of life' partner ASAP in the blink of an eye?

Get a grip dude.

Yes can definitely relate..although I'm 3 years older than you. Honestly for me, social media is a huge trigger..seeing everyone get married and have kids makes me feel totally behind in life. I think there is nothing wrong in feeling this way or even seeking out ways to meet people..but do it because you truly desire a relationship, not because others are or because work is wearing you down.

A good wife is far more valuable than a good career. Give up this career BS. Its not getting you anywhere but worn down and wanting something that's actually real.

Go to work. Do a good job. Get a paycheck on Friday. Nothing more.Get yourself straightened out.

Then find someone you find sexually attractive who you also enjoy spending time with. This isn't that hard to find if you yourself aren't a miserable person. Then, commit yourself to sticking by this person and develop a life together.

This is normal 10-20 years after your first menstruation, don't stress.

Can't say I can relate. Every time I see all that crap on social media, it validates my life choices and I feel sorry for those suckers with kids. Sure, marriage, fine, whatever if you want. Nothing wrong with it. But nothing would change for me from a long term relationship without being married. If she wanted it, sure, OK, whatever. I understand it's different socially for "single" women then it is for "single" men. But I LOVE the freedom. Job's great. Do what I want when I want. No desire to change. And social media just increases that feeling of satisfaction. I'm almost 33. Guess I survived that "phase?"

It happens. I was only about 23 but I had a GOOD life- fun times, crazy, running, hanging out with friends, I was going to stay single forever and just enjoy it.

Then, one night I was walking to meet my friends somewhere- we used to just hang out, we live in a small town where you could walk to a couple bars, whatever.

I pass a house and inside on the couch was a young husband and wife watching TV (I wasn't stalking, you couldn't miss it). She was cuddled up next to him.

Then I go by a schoolyard and there's a father with his young son teaching him to hit a baseball.

All of a sudden I wanted to be home with my wife and kids on a Saturday night and not going out with my friends.

Less than a year later I "bump" into this girl and it was like a lightening bolt struck me.

About a year after that we got married- that was 30 years and two grown children ago.

Now, you know what I miss the most when I reflect?

I miss the nights with my family, watching a movie, the kids playing. I miss Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. Yeah- if you find the right girl settling down is the best thing that will hwppen to you.

You don't want a partner, deep down, in your biological wiring you want to procreate and all the other humans in this society will make you feel abnormal for not following the pack. But don't worry, you can skip having kids, it's not a big deal, the world has enough and you have the right to give life any meaning you want.

I was in a relationship from 18-26 and I'm soooo glad I didn't have kids. I'm totally with the previous poster regarding social media. I actually had a vasectomy because the world does not need more people in it. I honestly don't see the point in having kids when there are 153 million orphans on this planet. 153 million. People only have kids out of ego (they think their own is more special) and because of their genes programming them for re-creation. So don't have kids, that will take 10 years off you in year lol! I only started running at age 27 and I got age groups to smash in 10 years!

Don't worry about your friends on fb beause most will breakup, divorce, the guys will have to pay maintenance and hardly get to see their kids. I see it all the time and I've experienced being in a relationship I thought would never end. There is nothing wrong with skipping having a kid in life

Don't get suckered into emotions. Try and create your own value knowing that emotions are just evolutionary biological illusions to keep us running on the treadmill of life to maximize our chance to pass down our gene pool.
