The diamond league crown doesn't mean that much.
They prevented Ayana from running at Oslo and she wanted to run there.
Dibaba will not run!

DL does need to make its entry standards fairer. Such as automatic entry for the top performers of the preceding 12 months.

Shannon Rowbury will be racing 3k in Zurich too. She may very well snatch her second American record this year in That race.
Will be interesting to see how Ayana and Dibaba recover from their 5k today given a very short recovery which will include a long flight and time zone changes.

Right, will probably not be a full out effort for them, at least not for Ayana.
Did anyone else noticed that Rowbury and Simpson looked fried in the 1,500 final? Good luck on that record try ladies.
Zurich is stacked - its like all the world champ finals in one evening!

They didn't look fried. They just couldn't close in 1;57. Not really surprising given that their 800 PB is 2 flat.
They just needed an honest, even effort to have a shot at a medal in Beijing
The 3000m AR is 8.25 and their PB is 8:29. They both claim to be in peak shape so if that is true, an AR is not out of the question
