I have been vigorously experimenting on my body for a few years now and am getting close to perfect the ultimate 7 day crash training program for distances of 5k 10k. The essentials are:
6 workouts in two consecutive days then 3 days of recovery exercises followed by 1 day of rest and 1 day of shakeout workouts before the race
Nutritional needs are as followed.
All you can eat carbs the first two days followed by intermittent fasting for three days, one day of loading and another day of fasting.
Has anyone else tried something like this? Or would you want to? The prerequisites to the plan are at least a 14 day period of running or cross training.
