a lot seems to be mentioned about the super fast track at the world athletics championships, which might explain some of the out of this world times, and big pb's athletes are running.ive also read that ben johnson,flo-jo,the east germans, and others of the 70s and 80s ran on tracks that were MUCH slower than todays tracks.but by how much?if athletes of the distant past were competing today, how fast would they be? would marita koch run a 46.6 400 metres? 21.2 200 metres ? flo jo,a 10.3/20.9 in the sprints? ben johnson run a 9.4 or 9.5,as some have suggested? or even faster?
i guess this is a question for people who have track knowledge, and TRACK knowledge? lets forget about doping for a minute.tell me what you think.
