It does make total sense actually. 2016 is an Olympic year, not a year to chase records outdoors. He'll be trying to make history with a double win again.
Well, Lasse Viren already pulled the double double, but doing it now would be incredible.
And yes, all the outdoor records are fast, even the 2k is sick. He should aim at 12:44 or under though, we haven't seen one of those in a while.
