When I was 14 years old I stood at 5'8. When I was 15 I started running. When I turned sixteen I started lifting weights. Now i'm 17 and a 1/2 at 5'7. What the actual %$#4! Is this the likely culprit? I Run and Lift 5 days a week BTW.

I was under 5' when I started running competitively, but now I'm 6'2". It looks like you're doing something wrong.
