Anyone remember Rashid Ramzi?
He was known (between 2005 and 2008) for "normal" perfomances until June. After then, he was unreachable (sometimes training in unknown places in the middle of the desert) and then....boom. He was running unbeliebable times, unbelievable splits (sometimes even running 3:32 in the heats).¨
.
I mean, from a scientific point of view, is NORMAL what has been done Bolt since London 2012? We have become accustomed to see Bolt run "normal" times (even more, he came here outside of the top 10 in both 100/200 world rankings) until June, and suddenly, he put "boltesque" performances and he never failed.
Every Letsrunner at least did some training, some of you aren't able to break 22 minutes in 5k, some of them are/were elite, some of you went to JC programs, some of you went to DI-DII programs.
And you know that if you have real technical problems, combined with injuries, YOU CAN'T FIX IT ALL IN TWO MONTHS, with only one competition in the middle.
Remember back to your XC days. If you went into a competition as the champion, but that year you had injuries and came to the competition outside of the top 10 early formcharts. How it went? Do you retained your title with only "the heart of the champion"? did you win because you're a "game changer"? a "natural winner"? NO. Most of the times, You lost the race!! you lost because you hadn't enough miles in your legs. Because you hadn't the same quality workouts, etc..
I saw Bolt this year. He was nowhere in sub 19.90 form. So, how is that SUDDENLY he's in 19:4low/19.3 high shape?
Why BBC don't say anything about that? Gatlin (DOPED) was running the same the entire year. He was in that 9.7/19.6 shape since may....and since the last 2 years. But his curve is constant.
Who's more doped? The person that run the same range of times the entire year, or the person that run WAAAY better than the rest of the year?
Bolt have a PASS from the IAAF/IOC, because he's the guy of the news. He's the poster machine, he sell tickets, he sell clothes, he make TV ratings...but I repeat, from a rom a scientific point of view, IT'S NOT NORMAL THAT KIND OF CURVE IN YOUR PERFORMANCES USAIN.
I mean: If Bolt fixes all of his flaws in two months: it is because he's a winner-because he's a natural competitor-because he always brings his "A" game-because he's a superior mind-because his knees are more elevated than the knees of the rest of the field-because he eat yams-because he cut parties, etc.
If Ramzi fixes all of his flaws in two months: it is because he's juiced to the gills-because he's Moroccan and all of them are dirty-because he went outside of the testers in some place in the middle of the Atlas Mountains, etc.
I CALL THIS: "BBC'S DOUBLE STANDARD SYNDROME"
