York High School in Elmhurst, IL. Just ask legendary coach Joe Newton. He produced National rankings for years and years. York was always ranked #1.
Sandburg, Ill could be ridiculous this year. They return 6 from last year, and if they drop even 10 seconds per man, then they'll be one of the best teams Illinois has ever seen.
I'm pretty sure Great Oak is the #1 overall team if you look at boys and girls combined.

So run both teams at the same time and score the top 5?
CBA is way ahead of Sandburg, and everyone else.

Sadly since NCA is essentially the "Taylor" XCNation bloggers, this poll is pretty fruitless. The 10 year history of the only event that brings the majority of ranked team talent together would suggest quite strongly, the path to the #1 ranking in the country runs through New York. Debate all you want…

Been a while since I've seen you post, Mr. Taylor.

Indeed. Voted accordingly (Dexter MI boys and Shadle Park WA girls)
I'm an Illinois guy, so I've got to go w/ Sandburg. I saw their workout Wednesday video on Milesplit, and I was impressed w/ their work load. They're a great team, and I think they can be close to unstoppable if few things go wrong.
Most reputable running publications have listed a surprise pick for the top hs xc program in the nation this year. There seems to be a fairly high level of agreement in support of Dominion High School (Sterling, VA) as the nation's top XC program. The team seems to have really come together under their second year coach. We can really expect big things in the future from this budding dynasty.
Surprised to find myself as the first vote for the Boys FM team out of 140+ votes. Did the girls and boys of FM not sweep NXN last year?

That is very shocking. The FM teams may not start the year as the best, but wait till the end of the year. I would not vote against them.
My vote goes to the boys and the girls FM teams.
At this point it looks highly unlikely that the nations top team will be coming out of NY this year. That's not a shot at anyone at all. That's just the was it goes some years.
Is it possible? Of course.
But the numbers that you'd typically use to make a pre-season prediction such as this just don't support any New York team being anywhere near the top of the podium at NXN.
Is de la salle good?
I mean not elite nationally, but is 10th in California decent?
You mean the 10 years of dominance Glen, those statistics? Yeah each of the last 10 years has been "one of those years".
We are going to be great this year
Ford is by far the most underrated team out there.

Who wrote the article this link goes to? Great Oak as #1 for boys and girls?! That seems a little far-fetched from a boys' team that was 4th at their state meet last year and was edged out by two D2 teams and a D3 team for the NXN spot.
