Since when is July a year?
July 19th is the hottest year on record.
"On the night of July 19, 64 A.D., a fire broke out among the shops lining the Circus Maximus, Rome’s mammoth chariot stadium. In a city of two million, there was nothing unusual about such a fire — the sweltering summer heat kindled conflagrations around Rome on a regular basis, particularly in the slums that covered much of the city. Knowing this, Nero himself was miles away in the cooler coastal resort of Antium. Yet this was no ordinary fire. The flames raged for six days before coming under control; then the fire reignited and burned for another three. When the smoke cleared, 10 of Rome’s 14 districts were in ruin."
Phew: The Washington Times has got this! Note it doesn't say "editorial". They play this off as news AND the stupid white conservatives that make up LRC love it. This is where they get their news. Bravo, LRC. Bravo!

Everyone should be demanding better. If liberals really cared about climate change, they should be demanding accountability from NASA/NOAA instead of letting them siphon more taxpayer dollars.
Uh, it's the Washington Times. Did you mistake that for a real newspaper?

If liberals really cared about climate change, they would ban Starbucks drive throughs. Not gonna happen.

Haha, Washington Times ... American conservatives are becoming moonies.
Can you provide a link to the study you mentioned?
I only saw an opinion piece.
What is the ideal temperature for Earth again?
Thanks in advance.
Probably the one that won't bring about massive coastal flooding and extinctions.

Apparently we have never been at the right temperature then. Is there a temperature at which evolution does not happen?

Great point. No mass flooding or extinction on those planets.
I'm not saying it's global warming, but it's global warming.
No ice caps- Triassic or Jurassic CO2 levels 2,000 to 4,000 ppm caused 76% of all species to perish. Globally CO2 is just over 400ppm now. Life will continue in some form even with mass extinctions. The question is a human one.

I fall for that Washington Times thing all the time. I'm like, "I can't believe they published this in the Washington.... oh."
Well, were done then since the poles have been ice free since 2008 or whatever was predicted. They are ice free, right? I havent been up there lately.

Where does it say anything was falsified? All measurements have uncertainty. If you measure two pieces of wood with a steel tape to the nearest 1/32 of an inch your margin of error might be 3/32 of an inch. If one is 111/32 and the other is 113/32, you can be pretty sure one is longer than the other but you're still within the margin of error. It doesn't mean it isn't longer.

Oh, you mean Venus the planet with a mean surface temperature of 863 degrees F, much of which is caused by the plentiful greenhouse gases in it's atmosphere.
