I noticed that he ran a 47.93 (FTW) back in March. Not that bad for a guy that can run such a fast 100m.

Not to knock De Grasse, as 47.93 is a very good time, but doesn't Bolt run 45 or so? For a guy who's so accomplished at the 200, I imagine De Grasse could run even better than 47.93 if he tried.
I saw Tyson Gay run 44.8? in person. 47.93 is nothing to sneeze at for a short sprinter but nothing spectacular...

hey do any yall know if Tyson Gay has ever ran a 400? mkay thanks.
Sorry. Not sure what happened. I understand Tyson Gay has never run a 400m race.
As others have pointed out, Gay ran 44.x, Bolt has run a 43.x relay leg, X. Carter ran in the 44 (?'s) and was a 100m NCAA champ, and I think another top 100 guy has run 44.x before.
So....no, 47.x ain't that great for a guy that good at the 100. Sorry.
It's too bad Tyson Gay never ran one in person, I bet he could do really well
No doubt... You have some work to do...

Yes... It was 44.89. He got 2nd behind Calvin Smith Jr of UF. Xavier Carter split 44.0 in college also.
