Have a meet there soon and I've never been on the course.
If anyone could describe it that'd be very much appreciated.
Thanks

For the 5K: Nice course. Easy through the first mile, a few hills in mile two and fast, flat finish. The 8K course, unless they just changed it, is two loops of the girls HS 4K course (KS HS girls just adopted 5K).
Just got back from seeing the course for the first time at this year's Rim Rock Farm hs race, and I would describe it as a tough course with a lot of speed changes. The first mile is relatively easy with a big counter-clockwise loop that runs back through the start line just before the mile marker. The second mile starts with a gradual downhill and then has a quick, very steep downhill as it enters the woods. The first bridge is at the base of the hill and is followed by a quick, equally steep uphill. The next part is relatively level before it reaches another steep downhill that's about twice as long (100 meters) as the first downhill. This is also about the 1/2 way point on the course and reaches the lowest elevation shortly thereafter. There's a level section that runs along two ponds, and then the climbing begins with a short hill with the 2-mile marker in the middle of it. The course winds through the woods, drops a bit, winds around another pond and enters the second bridge followed by the last steep hill (Billy Mills). As runners crest the hill, they find a cemetery on their right that they circle in a clockwise direction. The far corner is about 800 meters from the finish line. The Jim Ryun skyway is a gradual uphill ridge followed by a 90 degree right turn and a downhill finish. According to a GPS, there is a total of 250 feet of elevation change over the course of the race, and the high point and low point differ by about 120 feet.
