Rumor around Campus us that Marybeth Sant is no longer at Oregon. Anyone know where she ended up?

Well that would suck if true. Oregon did add a pretty fast sprinter this year but any time you lose the most beautiful women in College Track and field it sucks :( Still think Oregon will set the NCAA 4 by 100 relay record with or without Sant this coming year. With Todd,Prandini,Washington and the new girl from Oklahoma I'm drawing a blank on her name but still think Sant would have beat out the new girl for the 4th and final spot on the Oregon relay but we may never know????????
Sant has not once at Oregon run as fast as she did in high school when she was coached by Tony Wells. Washington has also done absolutely nothing. Compare with Ky Westbrook, a freshman at USC, who finished 4th in the NCAA 100 in a time faster than either Sant or Washington have ever run. Why would Marybeth Sant want to stay in the present system that has made her slower?
Both Sant and Washington would be doing better now if they had gone to USC, Texas, TAMU, or LSU. If they have any brains, they'll get the hell out before they end up drugged like the others there.
Seems a little early to comment on Washington when she missed almost the entire outdoor season. Injuries happen everywhere.

Well lookie here, Ariana Washington finishing 6th in the NCAA indoor 200, ahead of 2 women from Texas A & M of all places!?
http://www.ncaa.com/sites/default/files/external/track-field/results/d1/indoor15/018-2_compiled.htmOf course at least A & M had two finalists, unlike those sprint meccas Texas, LSU and USC which together had NONE.
Just like the US world championship team that features 2 Oregon sprinters and none from SC, Texas, A & M and LSU COMBINED
Just Sayin . . . you remain full of crap

Sure, Sant has struggled. Washington was injured. Your logic is applied so inconsistently I don't know where to start. I could look at what Todd and Prandini have done and use that to say that most other NCAA sprinters would be better off at Oregon. The reality is there are a lot of good schools and coaches out there. Some are better than others, but even at the best some athletes will improve and others won't. People succeed and struggle at every single program in the country.
You're missing the point. He's not comparing Sant and Washington to athletes at those other schools. He's comparing what he believes they should be running to what they actually ran. In Sant's case, she ran slower at Oregon than in high school--he believes that both would have run faster at schools other than Oregon. Now whether that is true or not is debatable, but your reply is off base.
actually he is saying they would do better at schools that are sprinter success stories, which he named and upon further review, have uneven records at best

So I need some help understanding the Oregon drug program. Prandini, Todd (and Gardner, Francis and Baker before them), all volunteered to take Oregon's secret elixir while Sant and Washington have so far refused?
I was thinking it might be a racial thing but we have Black drug users and White drug users and Black refuseniks and White Refuseniks.
Maybe its a senior v freshman thing; but the drug users all improved significantly as freshman.
coach d, since you are so familiar with the drug program at Oregon, maybe you can explain the discrepancy?

I think you're full of crap. There are 4 Aggie athletes on the US world champ team - not to mention all the other Aggies representing other nations.
Sant runs like a Russian white girl, but they trying to get her to run black for some reason. Prandini is white and is so good they can't say nothing about it.
Does Coach D stand for D-bag or D-sucker????/ damn that d-bag is ruined by Oregon must be a U$C fan tired of losing to Oregon every single year.
Washington broke her foot doing drills and red shirted outdoors after making All American in her first indoor season ever. As for Saint, She's lazy and more concerned with her social life ( if you get my drift ) than running fast. She is gone by mutual agreement.
Actually Sant was probably the number 7 sprinter at Oregon behind Prandini, Todd, Washington, Cunliff, Horsley and Rowlee. Toward the end of last season, Horsley and Rowlee had replaced Sant in the 4 X 100 rotation. People seem to forget that Sant's high school times were at altitude in Colorado, where sprints are always faster. From what I have observed, Oregon is blessed with both Robert Johnson and Curtis Taylor as sprint coaches. I cannot think of any American university that has coaching that can stand up to these two guys.
So since Todd and Prandini turned down going pro Oregon is pretty much a lock to repeat as Pac 12 Champions for what the 9th year in a row on the Womens side :) Also Oregon is almost a lock to win NCAA indoor and outdoors hell Oregon only losses 6 points from it's Outdoor National Championship team last year. Can't wait to see the NCAA 4 BY 100 relay NCAA record go down this year. SO is Sant still at Oregon??????? I hope so anyways GO DUCKS
It appears neither Prandini or Todd ran well this week in Beijing! ?Todd did't make the final and I don't think Prandini will either. They only run fast at Hayward Field....just my two cents.
they call me flopro wrote:

Sorry dude. Prandini turned pro. Rumor has it with Puma, no less.
Uh oh! Will Oregon repeat next year as NCAA champions on the women's side without Prandini putting up so many points is she's truly gone pro?
Sant ran in Colorado for hs where the sprint times are always fast. She also was coached by Wells who is notorious for having his athletes never do anything after high school. Great high school coach, but his kids always fizzled afterwards.
Todd's parents (specifically mother) hounded her during NCAA meet.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
