I think you Hillary Haters are focusing on the wrong aspect of the e-mail scandal. The only way Hillary is actually going to get in big trouble because of classified e-mails being on her private server is if it becomes clear that something genuinely sensitive got into "the wrong hands" after being on her server. Could turn out to be the case but seems unlikely considering how much time has now passed.
So what is Hillary so afraid of? Why did she set up a private server in the first place and delete so many e-mails from it? Because [I think] she was trading access and influence for contributions to the Clinton foundation and wanted to keep that activity away from prying eyes.
In fact, she may have been trading access and influence for just plain cash in the form of payments to Bill Clinton. See, for example,
https://www.insidehighered.com/quicktakes/2015/08/03/laureate-paid-bill-clinton-165-million
. That's an awful lot of money to pay a guy for his "advice".
I'm a lifelong Democrat and there isn't a single one of the 17 declared Republican candidates I can see myself voting for, so if Hillary's the nominee, I'll vote for her, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. And if Hillary blows up and ISN'T the nominee, boy will be it a strange election since the Democrats don't really have a plan B. [and no, Joe Biden doesn't count. Bet Jerry Brown wishes he were 20 years younger.]
Absent Hillary it's possible you'd see Michael Bloomberg run, maybe as a Democrat, maybe as an independent.
