Background: I've never done pure half marathon training or peaked for a half marathon race so I'm looking for advice. I ran a 67:00 last year as my final tune-up race before a marathon.
Assuming I'm around 100 miles per week with 4-5 doubles and 3-4 hard days per week (so I'm never completely rested for a workout), what are some workouts and goal paces I should shoot for to indicate sub-65:00 fitness?
I live in a hilly area so all the local races are relatively slow and hilly compared to the flat half marathon I'm running. I haven't found any flat 10K to 10M races close to me in the months before the race to use as a fitness gauge but I'm considering doing a 10K time trial on the track 3-4 weeks before the half.
