Here are my rankings but I'm sure my rankings can be changed as I did it while watching a baseball game. I had Huddle at #8 but moved her up. What do you think?
1).women's 1500 - Two strong medal hopesfuls + entrants
2) women's 800 - Ajee might be our very best shot but only 1 entrant and the 800 can be weird at times.Plus. how much better does Caster get?
3) Men's steeple - Jager only had to beat 2 Kenyans and he's got it.
4) Men's 1500 - Centro is running so well he deserves a medal but this event is loaded. Leo has done it in the past.
5) Women's 10,000- Molly Huddle - Huddle is quite good and there is no T. Dibaba/M. Defar. The third placer at the Kenyan Trials didn't even have the standard. The winner of the ethiopian trials was barely ahead of Flanagan at Stanford.
6) Men's 10,000 - Rupp won silver in 2012 and won Pre last year, but it's going to be hard to beat Farah/Kamworor.
7) Women's steeple - The women's steeple is probably the weakest event of them all and Coburn was great last year. But she's been bad recently.
8) Men's 800 - Symmonds has done it in the past. He's not in the type of form but sometimes if you run for bronze you can get it in the 800 as there will be a lot of guys going for gold. He's got to make the final first.
9) Men's 5000 - This isn't Rupp's strongest event but the rest of the world seems to be really struggling in this event compared to historical norms. True and Hill can't be discounted.
10) Women's 5000 - no chance.
