Yep. Pretty dumb, really. When a rule is broken, you call a penalty and move on. That should be the end of it.
If the refs on the field felt there was an issue, they should have called the penalty. They didn't.
The problem is the NFL has NO IDEA if a rule was broken. They showed up at the game without an accurate method to measure and record the pressures of the footballs AFTER being warned by Indy that they were going to bring the issue up. THAT IS COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE. Maybe the refs didn't know, but the League office DID. Goodell MUST GO.
Everything Goodell has done since the game has just made the initial problem worse. He should just admit he has no business being commissioner and resign.
