I say in the next three years. The kid just needs to get his 1500m time down a bit, but he's got great strength already. Great run today at beach to beacon after a long season. Certainly shows up when it counts and has a lot of room to grow. Excited about his future.

He has the confidence-bordering-on-arrogance it takes to get it done, and yet seems smart enough to avoid the big pitfalls. Two years.
Derrick was great in college, but wasn't pushing Lawi like Eric does Chez, even at 1500m. He is a huge beneficiary of his transfer to UO in that regard.
