Thanks - I am at that part of the pt where you switch from concentrics - can do sets of body wt, but moderate pain to eccentrics now that my achilles has re-lengthened. Eccentrics hurt less - just going to floor now.
Range of motion difference is trivial now. If i stretch to equalize, that 5 degrees sets it off. Several weeks ago, I couldn't really dorsiflex - now prob 20-25 degrees. So i don't stretch must past 15 yet for fear of setting this off. Can do isometric holds > 1 minute.
Only treatment i had was prp x 1 at 7 weeks - not sure if it did anything really.
Know I have months to go on this and that incision + debridement is "gold standard" should pt fail, but unappealing recovery!!!
Frustrating thing about intermediate treatments are paucity of strong evidence. Tenex looks good in theory - but where are the papers?
