She basically shows that you don't need to be anorectic to be a runner. I applaud this. Hopefully, this will further raise acceptance for women who look a bit "healthier":

Good troll bait.

She hated running and miraculously after an hour, felt strong and amazing. Now she is a runner. What a joke! No respect for the sport or what goes into it.
I am glad she thinks that running is simply a step in the direction of becoming a triathlete. It is always good to further that notion.
She looks great and apparently got fit after one hour-long session with milehighrunning. Maybe Jerry and Alberto ought to look into that group.
That is not an attractive photo.

Who are you to judge what's attractive or not?
I applaud her courage.

Courage at what? Putting one foot in front of the other? Don't cheapen the meaning of the word courage. Jog a mile, take a selfish = courageous trailblazer. Amazing!
These feminist warriors, Dunham and the emerging author, feminist icon and Salon.com editor Sarah Hepola, love to write books about how they get blackout smashed on drugs and booze and wake up in strange guys' beds, but somehow it is the guys' fault.
I read Dunham's book earlier this year and listened to a Fresh Air show with Hepola about her new book "Blackout" and both just make me shake my head.
Her interview basically says that she would purposely get drunk to the point off blackout, that was her plan, and then she would wake up in a random stranger's bed the next morning. Terry proceeds to ask her about consent and she goes on a 20-minute rant about how consent wasn't even addressed in her day. She admits that she consented to the sex and that men probably could not tell that she was blackout - she describes blackout as very different from overly drunk or unconscious. Basically, acting normal but cannot remember the next day - but then goes on to say that the consent wasn't valid consent, despite saying that she would appear able to consent and did, in fact verbally consent.
At a certain point, I think these feminists are doing a GREAT disservice to the young ladies they claim to be helping. They are enabling young women to "embrace" their powerful, sexual side while at-the-same-time telling them that they hold no responsibility for their actions.
At a certain point, men and women, both, need to face the facts that if you go around hammered making stupid decisions, you need to take responsibility. I am not talking about passing out and being taken advantage of by a predator. That is not acceptable under ANY circumstance.
I encourage both men and women to listen to the Fresh Air podcast and chime in with your comments:
Her BFF Taylor Swift is a notorious Saucony devotee. I wonder if Dunham will get on that train, and if so, will Saucony see a big bump in sales?
I'd love to see Molly, True, and Bang Bang Solomon in the next Swift video.
I'm not a fan, but all running is good, and all attempts to stay physically fit are good, so good for her.
Hahaha. I listened to that too. I have been screaming in my car at a lot of Terry's guests lately. The one the other day about Serena Williams? Holy smokes. They spent an hour bashing thin white women. Now it is okay to hate thing white women for being thin and white. And they were getting a little too close to saying that being obese is healthy. At a certain point you just have to say, "No, it is not healthy to be obese." I think all of this defensiveness just leads to more focus on the issue. Serena seems fine with herself. Why do all of these apologists have to come out of the woodwork to "defend" her? She is doing alright by herself. I think Serena looks good and it only bothers me when fat girls try to pretend like she represents them. Serena is about as far from fat as an athlete can get.
Jenn Shelton is too wild for Girls.

It really is disturbing that these feminists believe that when they get so drunk, they don't know what they are doing that they aren't responsible for what happens. If one of them goes and gets hammered and shoots a kid, they are responsible. If they go and crash a car while hammered, they are responsible. If they do something absolutely inappropriate in public while drunk, it is on them. But when they get hammered and wake up in some guys bed its not on them...
I really do wish they would be consistent with this whole female power thing. If they want to be viewed as strong, than they need to show the world how strong they are. Which means they can be responsible citizens that understand they are going to be held accountable for their actions, drunk or not.

Well we are all entitled an opinion. So regarding your "who are you to judge" comment. I am a human entitled to his opinion, which is one of the few things a human is 100% entitled to.
I highly recommend reading up on some of John Locke's ideas.
She molested her sister.

Crazy does not describe folks like this well enough. The chaos they create is unbelievable. It's high school drama. Hollywood loves people like this.
If I read that RW blurb right, she has body-related issues. Her "blackout" is more splitting out of her body, not alcohol overdose.
If you knew her ability to lie to millions of people, all the while, attempting to destroy the credibility of innocent people... you would understand that she has no "courage".

I watched the first season of her show out of curiosity, and it was unconscionably bad and fundamentally dishonest for an alleged "voice of her generation." I've never met anyone who treats their so-called friends as poorly as that bunch did, and contrary to what she depicts, a lot of people in NYC in that age bracket have decent jobs that they actually care about.

What?? What's wrong with feeling good after you run? What part of her statement made you think she doesn't respect the sport?? I'm sure that starting to run made her respect runners because she realized how hard it is.

Of course getting raped is not "on them"
It's the guy/girls who's doing the raping.
It's awful.
If you see a girl passed out, do you rape them, and then say it's their fault?
No. exactly.
Holy 5hit, Letsrun is basically the worst place in the world. I hate every one of you white conservatives.
