So I'd been running 85-95 mpw for the previous few weeks, with one tempo a week.
Last Tuesday I did some speed work on the track, afterwords my shins hurt badly but the pain faded after a day. Wednesday was an easy 10 miler and I felt fine, no problems. Then Thursday morning doing my tempo the pain in my knee hits me hard, I finish the run, ten miles total, but I'm hobbling around.
I take three days off icing, elevating, taking ibuprofen and it feels better and the swelling is gone.
I tried three miles today and it felt ok, it was stiff and sore but didn't hurt nearly as bad. Am I ok to run on it as long as the swelling stays down and I keep icing/ taking ibuprofen?
