During this summer I built a decent sized base almost reaching 80 mpw, my highest mileage ever. Unfortunately, I fear that I'm overtrained as my easy runs have slowed from 6:30-7:00 pace to slower than 8:30 pace. My workouts have become substantially harder to run the same pace and my legs get tired abnormally quick. In addition to that, I sometimes have loss of appetite and feel tired even after a long nap.
What should I do to recover from this as quick as possible? I want to get back to the form I was in before this rough patch in about a month or less so I can be competitive at the early season meets. Anyone have experience with this kind of stuff? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
